How Dewllio calculates the expiry date
Warranties are easy to forget because the clock starts the day you buy and then hides in a drawer. Dewllio does the arithmetic for you. When you add an item to your home inventory, you enter the purchase date and the coverage length — say 12 months on a blender or 24 months on a laptop — and Dewllio works out exactly when protection runs out.
From then on the item carries its own expiry date. No spreadsheet, no mental math, no digging through emails to figure out whether that appliance is still covered. Open the item and the answer is right there.
A reminder before it lapses
A warranty you find out about the week after it expired is worthless. Dewllio sends a reminder ahead of the expiry date, with enough lead time that a claim is still worth making — room to locate the receipt, contact the manufacturer, and book a repair or replacement before coverage disappears.
The reminder arrives as a notification on your phone, so it reaches you whether or not you happen to open the app. If something started acting up, that heads-up is often the nudge that turns a shrug into a free fix.
